Founded in 1999 in Taiwan, Macroblock has become one of the world's leading LED driver providers. Together with the dynamic growth of LED technology Macroblock positions itself as a supplier of highly reliable, functional and cost effective products.
Macroblock focuses on the LED drivers which are widely used in the fields of LED lighting (including RGB), LED display and LED backlighting applications. The LED lighting drivers are divided into linear drivers providing an output current up to 1.2A and high-efficient DC/DC converter based drivers of an output current up to 1A. For LED display applications Macroblock offers a broad range of 8- and 16-bit drivers that support up to 30MHz serial interface.
Macroblock's product portfolio includes basic drivers as well as the drivers with enhanced features such as LED error detection, programmable current gain, PWM dimming, thermal protection. Some of the products utilize a patented S-PWM (Scrambled-PWM) technology aiming to increase visual refresh rate of a display.
